01 / STEP PROJECTIONIntake system
The intake assembly appears in both the 3.5 and 3.7 robot folders. A native SolidWorks assembly and a STEP export make this mechanism directly inspectable.

I’m Justin Yin. This is a closer look at the robot systems I designed for FRC: from individual mechanisms to the full assembly, with the actual CAD files behind the work.
The design record matters. My source archive contains native SolidWorks assemblies, STEP exports, manufacturing files, and multiple saved versions of the 2026 robot. This site shows the mechanisms and keeps the underlying files within reach.
02 / ORIGINAL CAD VIEWS
These are the original CAD screenshots supplied with the source files. Open any view for a closer look at the assemblies, roller paths, structure, and packaging.
03 / SELECTED MECHANISMS
Each design thread is grounded in the supplied CAD archive. The images marked “STEP projection” are generated from geometric points in the actual export files.
01 / STEP PROJECTIONThe intake assembly appears in both the 3.5 and 3.7 robot folders. A native SolidWorks assembly and a STEP export make this mechanism directly inspectable.
Explore its geometryThe archive preserves separate turret V2 and V3 assemblies, with V3 also present in the later 3.7 robot folder. The version trail is part of the work.
03 / STEP PROJECTIONA separate hopper assembly and STEP export appear in the 3.5 robot files. The geometry preview here is generated from that export.
Download STEPFull robot assemblies are saved in the 3.5 and 3.7 source folders. Intake, turret, hopper, chassis, and climb subassemblies sit within that wider design record.
04 / INTERACTIVE CAD STUDY
These points come from the Cartesian geometry in my STEP exports. Drag to turn the model. This is a geometric preview rather than a shaded surface render.

05 / UNDERLYING FILES
The archives contain native SolidWorks parts and assemblies, plus STEP, DXF, and STL exports. These selected files can be opened independently to inspect the geometry and fabrication output.
Additional native assemblies in the supplied files include turret V2/V3, elevator and carriage, a June 28 intake assembly, and full robot assemblies from the 3.5 and 3.7 folders. The July 13 archive also holds manufacturing exports for individual parts and a full assembly STEP file; the latter is too large for this site's direct download. Standard and vendor components in the source archives belong to their respective makers.
06 / ABOUT
I’m Justin Yin. I use CAD to move from an idea for a mechanism to a buildable robot system. This portfolio is a direct view into my FRC 2026 design files and the iterations preserved within them.
